- Rup is a Zapbots Cars from the Generation 1 continuity family.
Cantankerous and old Rup's origination to the Zapbot team is unknown. He is known to have many stories about how he joined the team next to Bop. Hot Shot and Vision are both under his command for security on Fortress Misslemax, then later for Duplaflex.
Rumors for his origination include the following...
- He's an original Zapbot that was lost long ago and reactivated.
- He's an original Zapbot that was lost in space and came back to Gearatron.
- He's a robot from a similar race of Robots that transform into vehicles and work on both sides.
- Quote: "The old ways are the best."
